After this enriching stop, we head back toward Antoetra. But first, 688 steps await us—a final climb that tests the legs before reaching a stunning viewpoint with breathtaking views over the valley. The trek ends in the late afternoon, leaving you with a deep sense of fulfillment and achievement.

A relatively easy circuit with around 600 meters of ascent and descent.
One of the main highlights of this trek is the discovery of Zafimaniry culture in a traditional village with houses unlike any others in the country. Here, some homes are built using intricate mortise-and-tenon joinery, following strict rules —and construction can take months or even years.
Beyond the cultural richness, you’ll also explore the region’s diverse flora, including 21 species of orchids, as well as aloe, kalanchoes, and other unique plants.
